IPC Athletics Approved Competitions

The IPC Athletics Approved competitions are:

  • National and International Disability Competitions (formerly Permit competitions)
  • IAAF/NF Endorsed Competitions     


National and International Competitions

An Application to Stage an Approved Competition Form must be submitted for all competitions requesting IPC Athletics approval. NPCs/ IOSDs and Organizing Committees must complete the form below and return to IPC Athletics a minimum of three (3) months in advance of the first day of scheduled competition.

Please ensure the application form is verified by the respective NPC or IOSD.

IAAF/NF Endorsed Competitions

IPC Athletics will review IAAF/NF Endorsed competitions for approval according to the provisions set out in the Memo below. The Notification Form has been provided below and must be submitted to IPC Athletics not later than 30 days in advance of the first day of scheduled competition.

For competitions that are disability specific and endorsed by the NF an application for approval should follow the National and International competition approval process mentioned above

Please note: An NPC may submit a Notification Form for a competition taking place outside their country of origin for the purpose of having the competition reviewed for approval.

AMENDED PROVISION: effective 1 September 2009

Amended Provision - IAAF/NF Endorsed Competitions 

The competition fee structure for IAAF/ NF Endorsed competitions will be effective from 1 January 2010 and payment must be received by IPC Athletics for the respective competition package prior to approval of IAAF/NF Endorsed competitons. The Compeition Package Request Form can be found below.

    Please see the IAAF Approved Track certificates (Current at 1 April 2010). If the track where the competition is scheduled appears in the list below an additional track certificate is not required.

    IAAF Certified Tracks

    The approved IPC Athletics Technical Delegate must complete the following Report Form and return it to IPC Athletics not later than 14 days after the permit competition.

    IPC Athletics Results Sheet

    Results from IPC Athletics aproved competitions must be sent to IPC Athletics within two weeks of the competition in the approved format. IPC Athletics also request a set of the original results in pdf or excel format. The official results sheet has been included below as well as a seperate results sheet for relay events only.

    An NPC/IOSD or LOC should read the SDMS Manual Part 2 - Competition and Results Management in conjunction with completing the Results sheet.

    IPC Athletics Records Form 

    The form below is the official application form to be used when claiming for a world or regional record.

    Please note: Athletes claiming a record should follow the instructions as indicated on the form. 


    Classification Evaluations  

    A LOC must read the Guidelines for Hosting International Classification Evaluations prior to submitting an Expression of Interest Form.
